Among skyscrapers and modern buildings, Babila’s neo-Gothic brick building is a dive into the past of Milan’s history. It was built in 1895 on the initiative of Cardinal Andrea Carlo Ferrari and has hosted a Catholic school for many years; despite the blackest periods of the city, it has maintained its original shape until today.

The Babila Hostel & Bistrot was born in August 2017 following a profound renovation of the historic building, transforming it into a place of design and a cozy and relaxed atmosphere!

Our team is young and dynamic with different cultural background and life experiences. At Babila Hostel & Bistrot 18 people work including receptionists, bartenders, bistrot and kitchen staff, cleaning service, revenue&booking and management.

At Babila Hostel & Bistrot we try to be as green as possible.

We are just a drop in the ocean … but we believe that many drops together can make a difference.

For this reason since our first days we decided to put into practice small steps to reduce our environmental impact as much as possible. Just as example, the bathrooms are equipped with soap dispensers to reduce the use of disposable containers, we do not use plastic straws at the bar or disposable tableware of any kind, we use a water dispenser for the use of the bistrot, we pay close attention to the separate waste collection both in the areas dedicated to guests and in our service areas, we provide our guests with a digital map created by us to minimize paper consumption and we choose partners and suppliers who share our same mission.

FROM LINATE AIRPORT: Get the urban bus line 73 that takes you near the hostel. Get off the bus at Corso di Porta Vittoria and walk 4 – 5 minutes.

FROM MILAN CENTRAL STATION: Take the underground line M3 (yellow line) to Duomo and then change line M1 (red line) until San Babila square. From there, it takes only 6 -10 minutes walking to reach us.

FROM MALPENSA AIRPORT: Take the train Malpensa Express. Get off at Cadorna Station and change to the underground line M1 (red line) to San Babila.
